On Saturday, February 24th, 2018, Grate Madeleine participated in the South Beach Wine and Food Festival (SOBEWFF). We were located in the Goya Foods Grand Tasting Village from noon to 5 pm, and handed out over 1,500 samples of gourmet mini vanilla madeleines dipped in premium Callebaut Belgian dark chocolate.
Grate Madeleine was one of more than 50 exhibitors to treat 1,500 + guests to delicious treats, food, and drinks. The Grand Tasting Village featured the KitchenAid®Culinary Demonstrations, and an array of tents showcasing creative food and sprits. Attendees were able to watch their favorite Food Network and Cooking Channel chefs, authors, and culinary personalities showcase their talents on the KitchenAid® Culinary Demo Stages and sign books at the Books & Books tent.
For the second year in a row, SOBEWFF partnered with David Grutman, a leader in hospitality and nightlife, to bring the David Grutman Experience to the Goya Foods’ Grand Tasting Village. Additionally, brands such as Coca Cola, illy, and Barilla set up e stand-alone tents in the area, offering guests exclusive drinks and eats.
The best part about the SOBEWFF is that the event is a win-win situation for all involved. Brands get to give out samples and gain customers; guests get to try tasty new food and drinks, as well as enjoy entertainment; and, the Florida International University School of Hospitality gains funds for students and the community. So, next year come on out and enjoy the fun!
