This past weekend, Grate Madeleine participated in the 2nd Annual Doral Food & Wine Festival. The two-day event was held at Doral Central Park, and was said to be bigger and better than last year’s event.
The event featured the Grand Tasting Pavilion, which showcased local restaurants and bakers. Grate Madeleine was among some of the top name participants, such as Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant, Fireman Derek’s Bakeshop, Novecento, Brio Tuscan Grille, Aromas Del Peru, and SuViche among others.
All participants were advised to have 1,000 samples each day; and, that was definitely great advice. With the steady stream of attendees throughout the day, we went through just about 1,000 samples on both Saturday and Sunday.
Our cascading chocolate fountain filled with Callebaut dark chocolate was a hit with attendees young and old. Attendees lined up to sample our gourmet mini-madeleines dipped in dark chocolate; some even got in line more than once!
In addition to our bite-sized madeleines we showcased our signature-dipped madeleines with a special Doral Food & Wine Festival logo. We also showcased our brand new packaging featuring seasonal flavors such as apple cider and pumpkin, and staples such as Nutella-filled, vanilla, and birthday cake.
In addition to the Grand Tasting Pavilion, guests had the pleasure to enjoy an expansive Wine & Spirits area, and a Kids Zone. The event also featured culinary and mixology demonstrations, cooking competitions, and live music. With the success of this year’s event, next year’s event is sure to be even grander.
